Tragedy Strikes: Two killed in separate accidents in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Two persons were killed in different road accidents in the city on Monday. In the first fatal accident, a-27-year-old man died when a speeding car rammed into him at Saroornagar main road. The victim V Chaitanya was sitting on a bench and speaking over phone when a speeding car rammed into him. He fell on the road and sustained serious injuries and died. The driver fled the spot abandoning his car. The victim’s family members alleged that the driver was apparently drunk and lost control over the vehicle that caused the fatal accident. 357 acres allotted for establishment of Tribal University near Mulugu town
Mulugu: A significant step towards enhancing higher education in Telangana has been taken with the allocation of 357 acres of land for the establishment of the “Sammakka Sarakka Central Tribal University” in the district. CM Revanth warns of action against hospitals not honouring Aarogyasri health cards
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy warned that stringent action would be initiated against empanelled hospitals if they failed to honour the Rajiv Aarogyasri cards issued to the beneficiaries. Responding to AIMIM member Akbaruddin Owaisi comments on Rajiv Aarogyasri health card during the thanksgiving motion to the Governor’s address at the assembly on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that his government had issued GO MS 191 on December 8 increasing the health insurance amount from Rs. 5 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh. Hyderabad: Khajaguda junction to be closed for traffic from Dec 16
Hyderabad: To facilitate the seamless flow of traffic, the Khajaguda junction will be closed for vehicular traffic starting from December 16. Cyberabad Traffic Police said effective traffic diversions have been planned to mitigate potential traffic congestion. Accordingly, vehicles from Nanakramguda Rotary towards Whisper Valley junction take diversion at Bio-Diversity junction and Pakwaan eatery to proceed to Whisper Valley junction. Likewise, vehicles from Shaikpet flyover towards Film Nagar should take diversion at Pakwaan and proceed towards Whisper Valley junction. Similarly, vehicles from Bio-Diversity junction towards Manikonda should take diversion at Pochamma temple under Shaikpet flyover and proceed towards Manikonda. Hyderabad: Ganja worth Rs 1 crore seized, two nabbed
Hyderabad: Two persons who were allegedly transporting ganja were arrested by the Jeedimetla police with the assistance of Cyberabad Special Operations Team (Balanagar) on Saturday. The police seized 400 kg of the contraband, a truck, and two mobile phones all worth Rs. 1 crore from them. The arrested persons were Bablu Khare (23), truck driver, and Govind Patidar (42), farmer, both natives of Madhya Pradesh. Two others – Bablu of Odhisa who supplied the contraband and Aravind of Maharashtra, receiver of the consignment went absconding.
