Meghan hits out at UK media over King Charles letters
Meghan, the wife of Britain’s Prince Harry, criticised the British media on Saturday over reports that letters exchanged with King Charles played a part behind her decision not to attend his coronation, her latest confrontation with the press. The Daily Telegraph reported Meghan had written to the now king to express her concerns about unconscious bias in the royal family. It said the letter was sent following her 2021 comments in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that the family had raised concerns about how dark her son’s skin would be. The Delhi Police on Saturday said it has not detained former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik, adding that false information was being spread on social media handles regarding his alleged detention. It was stated by the Delhi Police after several messages were seen circulating on social media about Malik’s alleged detention. Russia forced to evacuate thousands after another bomb accidentally dropped on city
The Russian city of Belgorod was forced to evacuate more than 3,000 people from their homes after an undetonated explosive was found. Officials scrambled to rush civilians from their houses after it emerged that there was a second, unexploded bomb that dropped earlier this week. It comes two days after Russia accidentally dropped a bomb on the same city, damaging houses and injuring several people. It is believed that the bomb discovered came from the same aircraft – a Russian Sukhoi-34 fighter-jet. Tens of thousands of Israelis continue protests against judicial reform
Tens of thousands of Israelis packed Tel Aviv streets on Saturday for the 16th consecutive week to protest government judicial reforms they see as an attack on democracy. The weekly protests have continued despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on March 27 announcing a “pause” to allow for talks on the reforms which were moving through parliament and split the nation. Some Indian nationals evacuated from Sudan: Saudi Arabia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Saturday announced it had evacuated 66 citizens of “brotherly and friendly countries”, including India, from conflict-hit Sudan.
