Telangana TDP leader Motkupalli Narasimhulu on Monday was expelled after he criticised party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. The TDP leader’s remarks came in the wake of him being sidelined from the party’s annual plenary meeting, Mahanadu.

TDP Telangana unit president, L Ramana announced Narasimhulu ’s expulsion and accused him of behaving in an ‘extreme manner’ as he was denied a Governor’s post.

He also stated that the TDP leader had indulged in ‘anti-party activities’ and the decision to expel him was taken after many statements made by the former.

Following his expulsion, Narasimhulu spoke to the media where he broke down and said that TDP had forgotten the values of party founder NT Rama Rao, and was only using NTR’s name for political gains.
