Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, 5th July 2018: Dr. Manal bint Abdul Majeed Al Zadjali, Dean, Higher Institute of Health Specialties (HIHS)’s leadership skills and dynamism were lauded at a fun-filled bright sunny morning by the students and faculty at a glittering event organized by the Students’ Affairs Committee (SAC) led by Jamal Manasarah, nephrology nursing faculty in Muscat on Wednesday. Dr. Manal was the cynosure of all eyes as petite dynamite belle Jo-Ann Asmad Tubo, paediatric nursing faculty and member of the SAC, was at her explosive best enumerating the qualities that make Dr. Manal stand out from the crowd.
A video was presented to highlight different activities that were guided by Dr. Manal with great aplomb. The emphasis on team work and humility by participating in tasks that are otherwise considered not too big are endearing qualities for which Dr. Manal commands respect from her colleagues and the students. During her impressive commentary, Jo-Ann Asmad referred to a statement of an admiring faculty that Dr. Manal is the Queen Bee under whom honey is flowing. It is Dr. Manal who guides her team like the Queen Bee does towards more productivity.
A number of interesting activities kept the audience mesmerized at the Oman Arab Bank, Halawiyaat Al Iftar and Adnan Al Mahrouqi supported event. The activities included: Salad dressing, quiz, puzzles, costume designing and modeling, blind-folded drawing competition, games on and off the stage. The victorious football team of HIHS was honoured on the momentous day. It is significant to note that football is very popular in Oman. Oman is winner of Gulf Cup this year.
Omanis are talented in many fields including cuisine and aesthetic presentation. The salad dressing competition and salad tasting left many tasting buds asking for more! It turned out to be one of the favourite events as can be seen from the picture below:
Jamal Manasrah, chairman of SAC, was felicitated for his services in guiding the students’ affairs. A citation was read out by Jo-Ann Asmad regarding contribution of the SAC chief.
Dr. Manal Al Zadjali was visibly pleased with the activities on the HIHS Day. She attributed the success of the HIHS Day to team work and commended thus:
