Hyderabad: The ruling TRS party on Friday got the first jolt in the state. Senior politician and the sitting MLC of the party Bhoopathi Reddy has crossed the fence and joined rival Congress in the presence of its president Rahul Gandhi in national capital New Delhi along with his supporters. Famous Tollywood producer Bandla Ganesh also joined the Congress party.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi welcomed the two leaders into the party fold and asked them to work for bringing back the party into power in the state. Addressing media persons later, MLC Bhoopathi Reddy said that he had joined the Congress party as it was responsible for the creation of the Telangana State. He also said that he was peeved at the way the ruling party failed to fulfill the promises made to the people of the state.

Film producer Bandla Ganesh said that he had joined the Congress party as he liked it so much since his childhood days although he liked actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan so much and treated him like his teacher. He added he is ready to contest from any constituency in the state as per the directions of the party President Rahul Gandhi.
