Khammam/Kothagudem: The written exam for Village Revenue Officer (VRO) post conducted by Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) went off peacefully in Khammam and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts on Sunday.
According to Telangana Today, In Khammam district a total of 35, 476 had applied for the VRO post and of them 26, 842 candidates appeared for the test. The attendance translated to 75.7 per cent. The district administration had set up 97 examination centres at Khammam town, Khammam rural and Konigerla mandal.
District Collector RV Karnan, along with Sub-Collector Anurag Jayanthi and others inspected SR&BGNR College and Government Women’s Degree College centres.
In Kothagudem a total of 17, 523 candidates had registered for the test and of them, 10,137 candidates appeared for the test. The attendance percentage was 57.85, said officials.
In all 41 examination centres were set up at Kothagudem, Sujatanagar, Chunchupalli, Laxmidevipally, Paloncha and Bhadrachalam in the district. Joint Collector K Venkateshwarlu and other officials inspected a few examination centres.
33 percent candidates take VRO test in KB Asifabad
As many as 4,538 candidates attended the test conducted for recruiting VROs in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district.
A total of 13, 367 aspirants had registered for the exam but the turnout stood at only 33 per cent. As many 56 centres were arranged across the district for the exam.
