Visakhapatnam, May 31 (UNI) Though the Southwest Monsoon arrived at Kerala Coast last evening, against the expected June 1, the hot weather would continue over coastal Andhra Pradesh up till June 10 or till the date the Monsoon advances.
An official of Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) here today said that the Southwest Monsoon advances in “pulses” and not as a “continuous stream” and takes a break after traveling for about 500 km and normally takes 45 days to cover the country.
Spokesperson said that the Monsoon would advance over the central parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh by June 8, and the entire Andhra Pradesh and Telangana by June 13.
“It may not stick to this schedule due to its pulsatory nature, and there can be delay in its further advancement,” spokesperson said.
Weather warning has been issued for fishermen for Andhra Coast valid for next 24 hours.
