Hyderabad, Dec.7 (NSS): Animal Husbandry Minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that a Golla and Kuruma” public meeting will be conducted in Secunderabad next March. He said that the meeting will extend thanks to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for sheep rearing scheme and other welfare schemes. KCR is to address the meeting whose date will be announced later he said. He was interacting with embers of Golla and Kuruma Associations at Secretariat here. Srinivas Yadav said that KCR introduced sheep scheme with 75 per cent subsidy like no other state government in the country. The scheme aims to help Yadavas financially grow and about 30.50 lakh units of sheep were distributed so far he said.
The government is spending about Rs 5000 cr for sheep scheme to develop Yadavas who should make use of the scheme. Stating that Rs 1000 cr earmarked for providing buffalos on 50 per cent subsidy he said that 100 mobile vans being started to provide health services to the sheep. The government has allotted 10 acres land (5 acres each to Golla and Kurumas) at Rajenderanagar and Rs 10 cr for a welfare building and a hostel. The Chief Minister is to issue orders in this regard to take up the related works. Foundation will be laid soon.
He criticized the opposition for making baseless allegations for publicity on the sheep scheme which set a record in four months. Credit goes to the chief minister for such a big scheme to help Yadavas grow financially and socially he said. Stylo Hemata grass being grown in horticulture and forest lands and offering seeds with 75 per cent being offered to the Yadavas. The Government is spending Rs 100 cr to provide Rs 4 incentive on a liter milk to Vijaya, Mother, Karimnagar and Mulkanur Diaries. (NSS)
