City police busts fake education consultancy; one notoirous cheater held


Hyderabad, Dec 7 (UNI) The North Zone Task force team have busted a fake education consultancy by arresting one natorious cheater here on Thursday.

On credible information, the Task Force Team in joint operation with Begumpet Police busted fake education consultancy by name ‘Careers Gateway’ situated at Begumpet ,Secunderabad and nabbed the notorious fraudster Aragonda Aravind alias Gupta alias Setu alias Aravind Gupta alias AK Gupta alias Arjun Gupta who was establishing fake educational consultancies repeatedly and cheating the gullible students and their parents with false promises of providing B.Tech, MBBS, Agriculture, Veterinary Course admissions in the reputed colleges, through Management /NRI Quota, said P Radhakishan Rao,
Deputy Commissioner of Police, Commissioner’s Task force, in a release here.

When the innocent candidates attract his version and shows interest in procuring
admission in reputed colleges, the accused demands from them to pay an amount of Rs.5
lakh to 30 lakh capitation fees depending on the Course in reputed Colleges,
thereby cheating huge amounts from victims.

So far, the 38-year-old Aravind, native of Nizamabad district in Telangana has  involved in 21 cases registered at various police stations in the city and also at Khammam Rural.

Besides cash Rs 5.50 lakh, police seized Computer systems (11 Nos), two Printers, Brochures of Consultancy names Careers Gateway, Apexe, Noble and Global Educational Services, five Rubber stamps and other incriminating material from the accused, Mr Rao said.

He was being handed over to Begumpet Police station for further necessary legal action.
