TS Girls on Tourism expedition from today: Chandulal


Hyderabad, Feb.10 (NSS): Tourism and Culture Minister A Chandulal today said that four girls from Telangana are on expedition of seven East Asian Countries and they would  introduce Telangana Tourism to the world.
Addressing a press conference at Secretariat here with secretary B Venkatesham and other officials, the minister expressed happiness and proud that the four girls will be touring about 17000 km during their trip to the world. The expedition will be starting at Paryatak Bhavan on Feb 11 Sunday at 7 am. They are using motor bikes to make the trip to seven countries by road. It is great to see that the girls came forward to take up the promotion of tourism of the state in a big way.
Adventure of the four girls is appreciable as they will be making big publicity in several states and Asian countries,  the minister remarked. Jai Bharathi will be leading the team comprising Priya, Shanthi and Shilpa. Apart from India the team will be touring East Asian nations such as Bangla Desh, Mayanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam and propagate Telangana Tourism and culture. As part of their sojourn, the team will visit 19 Unesco World Heritage Sites and 35 Unesco sites.
Venkatesham said that Bajaj Auto Company sponsored 400 cc bikes to the team touring in Asian nations for 50 days. The team will exhibit video clippings of Telangana Tourism at some identified places en route their trip. The expedition will help the women make a daring and fearless driving to other places. The culture department is making arrangements for safe and smooth journey in the states and countries. Officials are in touch with their counterparts enabling the team  to make a successful sojourn,  Venkatesham said. Aim of the tour is to give better publicity to the state tourism and culture, he added.(NSS)
