15k students apply for BA admissions in Gujarat University
For admissions in bachelors of arts courses in Gujarat University affiliated colleges, 15,896 students have applied as on June 29. The university had started registrations from June 21. A statement from the university says that there are 17,884 seats available in 41 GU affiliated colleges in urban as well as rural areas.
The statement says that registrations are still open for students who have taken Class 12 exams from other boards such as CBSE and ICSE but are awaiting their results. The university expects around 2,000 more applications from students from other boards.
Students who have registered themselves for admissions will have to verify their applications by July 3 and make corrections if there are any.
For commerce courses, EWS and reserved category students who have applied but have not yet verified their documents will now be allowed to visit the college and complete verifications.
GU has received registrations from 32,238 students for admissions in commerce courses including bachelors of commerce, BBA, BCA, masters in commerce courses. Sources said that 8,914 students’ documents verification in reserved and EWS categories is done while 6,490 students are yet to verify their documents.
