4 killed, several injured in deadly blast in Pakistan’s Quetta

A total of four people died and at least fifteen were injured after a blast occurred on Monday, near a police vehicle in Pakistan’s troubled southwestern province of Balochistan. The incident took place in Quetta’s Shahra-e-Iqbal area in Pakistan.

The blast damaged several cars and motorcycles, parked around the police vehicle. A minor girl was also killed in the explosion. Media reports said that the bodies of the deceased have been shifted to the Civil Hospital.

Further investigation is underway.

Earlier on February 5 this year, more than 100 people lost their lives in a blast in Pakistan’s Quetta, resulting in injury to multiple individuals. According to local sources, the blast took place near the FC Mussa checkpoint on Sunday morning. According to local reports, the explosion took place in a secure area near the Quetta Police headquarters and the entrance of Quetta Cantonment.

The blast came days after a Taliban suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque packed with worshippers during afternoon prayers on Monday in the high-security zone in Pakistan’s restive northwestern Peshawar city, killing at least 100 people and wounding more than 150 others, mostly policemen.
