5 Reasons Why Sunny Deol’s ‘Chup’ Trailer Is Getting A Crazy Response From Moviegoers
The trailer of R Balki’s Chup, featuring Sunny Deol in the lead role, was released yesterday. Also starring Dulquer Salmaan, Pooja Bhatt, and Shreya Dhanwanthary in pivotal roles, the psychological thriller revolves around an unusual serial killer.

The trailer has been getting a crazy response from moviegoers who are now eagerly waiting for the film’s release. Chup is slated to hit the theatres on September 23.
Fans are looking forward to finding out if Sunny’s character will be able to solve the case or not. Well, for that, we have to wait for the release.
For now, let’s look at 5 reasons why the Chup trailer is trending big time on social media.
As shown in the trailer, Sunny Deol will be seen tracking down the criminal who mercilessly kills film critics and carves stars on his victim’s forehead. Well, I’ve never heard of or watched a film made on this interesting concept.
Currently, Bollywood is lacking big time when it comes to originality as most of the recently released films are either remakes or biopics. On the other hand, the Chup trailer looks super interesting and unique.
2. Sunny Deol’s Strong Comeback
Ever since the release of Yamla Pagla Deewana in 2011, Sunny Deol hasn’t yet tasted box office success. Chup marks his big-screen comeback after Blank which was released in 2019 and was a disaster.
With Chup, looks like he’s finally going to make his presence felt once again. If we go by the trailer, his role looks super strong and he’s going to be one of the major highlights of the film.
3. Relevant Subject
Amid the ongoing debate around the debacle of Bollywood films and paid reviews, the timing of Chup is perfect. The subject is relevant and moviegoers are excited to witness the antics of ‘critics ka critic’.
The presentation looks promising. I wonder how film critics will react after watching it.
4. An Ode To Guru Dutt
Chup is said to be a homage to master filmmaker Guru Dutt and his 1959 release Kaagaz Ke Phool. Interestingly, the makers even unveiled the film’s teaser on the occasion of Guru Dutt’s birth anniversary in July this year.
For the unversed, the legendary actor-director was criticised for his iconic film Kaagaz Ke Phool. As the trailer suggests, Chup will have similar elements which were there in Dutt’s films and his life. I just hope that the Sunny Deol-starrer does justice to it.
5. R Balki
It is a known fact that R Balki has always made films that are unique, relevant, and entertaining at the same time.
Known for helming critically-acclaimed and commercially successful films like Cheeni Kum, Paa, and Ki & Ka among others, the filmmaker has always tried to push the envelope with his characters and subjects.
After watching the trailer of Chup, I’m expecting a lot from him and hopefully, he’ll not disappoint the audience.
