Vedanta-Foxconn goes to Gujarat, Sena state chiefs join Shinde camp: Uddhav Thackeray reacts

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray hit out at the opposition parties over the Vedanta-Foxconn semiconductor project moving out from Maharashtra to Gujarat. Uddhav Thackeray said that his government had made a lot of efforts to bring the projects to Maharashtra.

“We made lot of efforts to bring these projects to Maharashtra. The opposition is playing politics over it now. They are blaming us for losing the project,” Uddhav Thackeray said on Saturday.

WE ARE ORIGINAL SHIV SENA: UDDHAV THACKERAY

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray suffered a big setback, with 12 out of 15 state unit chiefs joining Eknath Shinde’s camp. Taking a swipe at Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Uddhav Thackeray asserted that he heads the “original” Sena which was born out of social work spanning four generations.

Addressing the party functionaries at Shiv Sena Bhavan, Uddhav Thackeray said Sena cannot be “snatched away or purchased”.

“We are the original party born out of decades of social work spanning four generations,” Uddhav Thackeray said.

The legal battle to claim the real Shiv Sena is still pending in the Supreme court amid the political tussle over both the Sena camps.
