Raju Srivastava’s daughter Antara reveals the comedian ‘didn’t speak anything in the hospital’ 

Popular comedian Raju Srivastava passed away on September 21, 2022, after being hospitalised for 41 days. The comedian was admitted to AIIMS following a cardiac arrest on August 10 and he reportedly also suffered from severe brain damage. Raju Srivastava breathed his last at the age of 58 and his last rites were performed by his son Ayushmaan on September 22, 2022.

During his funeral at Delhi’s Nigambodh Ghat Raju Srivastava’s wife was seen crying inconsolably as she bid a tearful goodbye to her husband. Recently, Raju’s daughter Antara talked about the prayer meet they are going to organise in Mumbai.

Antara, who is currently busy with several rituals told ETimes, “I am flying down with Mummy tonight to Mumbai. She is not fine. It is a very tough time for us.”

She further said, “We will be back in Delhi soon. A lot of rituals are in the offing. Kanpur was Dad’s home. So, we have to do puja there too.”

Antara further revealed that Raju did not say anything during his time at the hospital and told the publication, “Daddy didn’t speak anything in the hospital.”

Meanwhile, earlier, Raju’s wife Shikha Srivastava told the publication after the comedian’s death, “”I am not able to talk right now. What can I share or say now? He fought very hard, I was really hoping and praying to see him come out of this. But, that has not happened. All I can say is that he was a true fighter.”

The comedian who gained fame with The Great Indian Laughter Challenge (2005), is survived by his wife and two children – Ayushmaan and Antara. He was popular for his comic characters like Gajodhar Bhaiya, Sankata, Baijanaath, Puttan, Jijaji, Fufaji and many more.

Raju Srivastava’s funeral was attended by Madhur Bhandarkar, Sunil Pal, Ahsaan Qureshi, Surendra Sharma and others.
