Rahul Gandhi’s little supporter gifts him chocolate during Bharat Jodo Yatra

It was an emotional moment for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi when his six-year-old supporter, Aryaman, offered him chocolates during Bharat Jodo Yatra in Madhya Pradesh’s Rajgarh. The little boy, who is an ardent supporter of Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, a mass initiative taken by the party, told Congress MP that he the chocolates would him boost his energy.

When asked why he offered chocolates to Rahul Gandhi, Aryaman Jaiswal, a student of Class 1, replied, “I support Bharat Jodo Yatra and I always look at your photographs in newspapers. I always had a desire to meet you..you walk so much, so I have brought these chocolates which will boost your energy.”

In an exclusive interview to India Today TV, RaGa’s little supporter said, “When my father was telling my grandmother that he would participate in the Yatra, then I asked him to take me along. When I shouted Rahul uncle’s name standing at the top of the car, he became emotional and stopped the yatra. I offered chocolates to him and he asked my name.”

Meanwhile, the yatra entered Rajasthan on Sunday evening amid excitement among Congress workers and a well-coordinated attempt to paper over differences between chief minister Ashok Gehlot and his former deputy Sachin Pilot. A grand welcome was given to Gandhi at Chanwli chauraha in the Congress-ruled state’s Jhalawar.

Aryaman’s father Praveen Sharma, a trader by profession, told India Today, “I was telling his grandmother about Bharat Jodo Yatra when he overheard our conversation and inisited that he wanted to Rahul Gandhi. When Rahul Gandhi saw that my son was calling out his name, he asked Congress leader Jeetu Patwari to come and pick him up.”

The picture of Rahul Gandhi meeting the six-year-old was shared on social media handles of INC and also by several party leaders, including RaGa himself.
