‘Legend idiots’: Vivek Agnihotri slams Congress leader mocking his tweet on BJP’s Gujarat win
Film director Vivek Agnihotri and Congress’s Supriya Shrinate indulged in a verbal spat after the politician mocked the filmmaker’s remark about Prime Minister Narendra Modi and deemed it derogatory. Supriya Shrinate admonished Agnihotri’s pictorial reference to the BJP’s win in the preceding Gujarat Assembly elections as PM Modi leading his pack of wolves.
Supriya said it was derogatory that Vivek Agnihotri implied the prime minister was an alpha wolf. Retorting her opinion, Agnihotri wrote, “Fools are one. Fools are one. But above all, there are PiDi of Pappu. Legend Idiots.”
The tweet came as a reply to Supriya condemning Agnihotri’s take on the saffron party’s victory in Gujarat.
“Oh God! Aren’t you ashamed of calling the Prime Minister a wolf and the BJP a pack of wolves? Whatever our ideological differences, I strongly condemn it,” Supriya said while retweeting the filmmaker’s congratulatory post.
Supriya’s remarks refer to Agnihotri’s tweet stating, “Congratulations PM Modi for leading BJP to this unprecedented win. Wishing you all the best for 2024.” In the tweet, Agnihotri had also attached an image of an alpha wolf leading a pack.
