Muslim Farmer Donates 15 Cents Of Land To Help Hindu Devotees Access Ayyanar Temple Path
India is a land of fascinating tales. While people are often divided based on caste, creed, and religion, some rise above everything and prove that humanity is above all.
Mohammad Swaifu, a 75-year-old farmer in the Ramanathapuram district, owns a piece of land known as Nanchai. However, his Nanchai farm is in Kanchirangudi Melavalasai, on the road leading to the Ayyanar temple.
When harvest time rolls around, locals and tourists are asked to stay away from the temple. As a result, for several days, devotees have urged the landowner to build a road to the holy site.
As per a News18 report, the landowner, a 75-year-old Muslim farmer, showed religious tolerance and became the best example of humanity by giving about 8 cents of his land to help people of all faiths get to the temple.
Locals can also follow the seashore from East Mutharaiyar Nagar to Kanchirangudi Pakkeerappa Dargah. The locals faced terrible hardship in impassable conditions due to the seawater’s infiltration during the rainy season.
After understanding the plight of the temple visitors, he donated 15 cents from his land for public use and the creation of a tar road by the government.
The villagers are grateful to Mohammad Swaifu for giving the land for the temple and the public road.
Speaking to News18, Mohammad Swaifu voiced his delight at the constant stream of worshipers that comes through the temple. He said young Hindus, Muslims, and Christians should live together peacefully and not make any distinctions between the three religions.
