Never seen Rs 1 crore in life: AAP on conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s Rs 60 crore pay claim

The Aam Aadmi Party, or AAP, responding to conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s claim that he gave Rs 60 crore to the party, said: “We have never seen Rs 1 crore together in our life. We do not even know how many bags a crore comes in.”

Conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar today alleged that he gave Rs 60 crore to the AAP. His lawyer, Advocate Anant Malik told the media that a high-powered committee in Delhi’s Patiala House Court took the conman’s statement and held that a probe should be conducted.

“Even BJP’s Meenakshi Lekhi calls Sukesh Chandrasekhar Sukesh ji,” Aam Aadmi Party MLA and spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj said, adding, “Chandrasekhar is the BJP’s star campaigner and is speaking at their behest.

“This is the same Sukesh Chandrasekhar who, in the name of the Home Minister, got Rs 230 crore from the owners of Ranbaxy,” Bhardwaj further said.

Sukesh Chandrasekhar appeared before the court in connection with the Rs 200 crore money laundering case where he is the prime accused.

He is currently lodged in Delhi’s Mandoli jail for allegedly extorting money from high-profile people and celebrities. Earlier, he was lodged in Tihar jail but was later shifted after his repeated requests to change his jail citing death threats.

Sukesh’s ‘Rs 60 crore’ claim is the latest of his attacks on Delhi’s ruling party. Earlier, in an explosive letter to Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, he claimed to have paid Rs 10 crore to incarcerated AAP minister Satyendar Jain as ‘protection money’ and that he was harassed and threatened in jail.
