Ashok Pandit, Aniruddha Guha praise Javed Akhtar for schooling Pakistan over terrorism, says ‘mirror is shown’
Javed Akhtar who was in Lahore, Pakistan for a literary festival, exploded his heart against Pakistan over terrorism. The veteran lyricist, whose remarks over trivial issues often trigger debates, slammed Pakistan for the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai. Javed was among the other keynote speakers in Lahore for a festival organized in memory of the renowned Urdu poet Faiz Ahmed Faiz.
Javed’s remarks have now been receiving appreciation from his fellow colleagues and other artists all across the country. His remarks were backed by filmmaker Ashok Pandit who said how he is thankful to Javed for showing the mirror. “I am thankful that he told the people on their faces that the country which breathes terrorism, manufactures terrorists and this is what they believe in. It was really a great move by Javed sahab. The mirror is also shown to the Aman ki Asha gang, who always keeps on saying that art has no barrier. So, all I can say is that this was an encouraging step taken by Javed sahib and I really congratulate him. Every citizen will be happy with the act of Javed sahib.”
Following Pandit was screenwriter Aniruddha Guha who has films like Malang, and Rashmi Rocket among others under his credit. He took to Twitter and lauded the lyricist for dropping the truth bomb. “Javed Akhtar – whose integrity towards the motherland gets questioned by dumbf***s all the time – went to Lahore and dropped some truth bombs in a roomful of Pakistanis. True patriots don’t need a stamp of approval from troll bhakts (sic).”
KANGANA SUPPORTS JAVED
Kangana Ranaut took to Twitter to praise Javed Akhtar. She shared a clip of Akhtar from the event in Lahore where he can be heard schooling Pakistan for the terror attacks in Mumbai. Se shared the clip and wrote, “Jab main Javed saab ki poetry sunti hoon toh lagta tha yeh kaise Maa Saraswati ji ki in pe itni kripa hai, lekin dekho kuch toh sachchai hoti hai insaan mein tabhi toh khudai hoti hai unke saath mein. Jai Hind. Ghar mein ghuss ke maara.. ha ha. (Whenever I listen to Javed Saab’s poetry, I feel like Goddess Saraswati has blessed him. But there must be some truth within a person for him to be blessed with divinity. Jai Hind. He spilled their truth in their own land).”
On November 26, 2008, 10 Pakistani terrorists entered India by the sea route and opened fire indiscriminately killing 166 people, including 18 security personnel, and injuring several others, besides damaging property worth crores.
