A year on after their infamous court battle, see what Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are doing now
It has been exactly a year since Johnny Depp sued his ex-wife Amber Heard for defamation for her Washington Post op-ed piece in which she publicly described herself as a victim of domestic abuse. After much washing of their dirty linen in public, Johnny Depp won the case, and then both Depp and Heard more or less dropped out of public view.
However, since the last few months, news has been trickling in about Johnny Depp. First, he began living in the English countryside and then there was news that he had taken to painting pop and street-art style portraits of famous people, all of which he was able to sell online at a neat profit.
Then, came the news that he was playing one of the lead roles in the French film, Jeanne Du Barry which will soon be premiering at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival in May. The trailer of the film is now out.
However, not much has been heard of Amber Heard since she lost the case in June 2022. A source, has however revealed that she has been living in Spain with her two-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige and has since shaken off the memories of the stressful time that she underwent during the trial. The source added that she is now feeling rested and rejuvenated and with her new energy is ready to start filming again.
Perhaps, a comeback will prove lucky for her.
