GYAN pe dhyaan: PM Modi details roadmap to Viksit Bharat by 2047 | Exclusive
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the target of making India ‘Viksit’ (developed) by 2047 can be achieved by focusing on GYAN — which he said stands for Garib (poor), Yuva (youth), Annadata (farmers) and Narishakti (women empowerment). Under ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’, PM Modi has aimed for India to transform into a developed country by the 100th year of its independence.
The Prime Minister recently launched the Viksit Bharat Sankalp yatra in several states with the aim of spreading awareness about welfare schemes under the government. In an exclusive interview with India Today, PM Modi said, “Hum GYAN pe dhyaan denge, GYAN ko sammaan denge, toh Viksit Bharat banega. (If we focus on knowledge and respect it, we will become a developed nation) GYAN means G for Garib, Y for Yuva, A for Annadata, N for Narishakti.”
He added that the next 25 years are crucial for the nation, and he sees optimism among people to make India a developed country by the time the nation celebrates its 100th year of independence. He also drew parallels to the optimism among people a century ago for the country to gain freedom from the British.
“This energy is my driving force,” said PM Modi. He added that the one mantra that he has adhered to throughout his efforts was “nation first”.
