Hyderabad: NGO Democratic Sangha launches ‘The Young Leaders For Social Change’

Hyderabad: Under The Youth Leadership Program, Democratic Sangha, a nonprofit, nonpartisan, social reform organization, on Saturday announced the launch of its second flagship initiative The Young Leaders For Social Change, a leadership program for high school students studying in grade 8 to 12.

The program was launched by Gareth Wynn Owen, British Deputy High Commissioner, Hyderabad, Chaitanya MRSK, Founder Democratic Sangha and Regena Cassandra Co-Founder, Democratic Sangha in the presence of educators, parents and students.

The Young Leaders for Social Change is a leadership program designed for high school students with the goal of inspiring and empowering them to become change makers and leaders who accelerate social change in their communities and beyond.

The program provides a comprehensive curriculum in leadership development, training, networking, and support to acquire real-world skills and knowledge to make a global impact.

The core of the program will consist of six lectures delivered by eminent lecturers, speakers, and global thought leaders, with one lecture scheduled per month.

Topics covered will include democracy, human rights, environment and climate change, leadership, social entrepreneurship and global economics and development.

The program will conclude with a one-month weekend Internship at a nonprofit followed by a visit to the Parliament of India. The program also provides an add-on International Leadership Tour to The United Kingdom in May 2025.
