Battula Madhukar, 26, a government job aspirant from Korvichelma village in Luxettipet mandal was declared brain dead at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
Mancherial: Family members of a youngster staged a rasta-roko on road demanding action against a rural medical practitioner (RMP) holding him responsible for the death in Luxettipet on Tuesday.
Battula Madhukar, 26, a government job aspirant from Korvichelma village in Luxettipet mandal was declared brain dead at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
He underwent treatment for weakness from RMP Boddu Srinivas, from Kannepalli village in Dandepalli mandal on Monday. He was admitted to hospital when his condition deteriorated after Srinivas administered some injection.
His family members blocked traffic for a while seeking justice and action against Srinivas. Traffic came to a standstill. However, police rushed to the spot and held consultations with the agitators.
The family withdrew the protest when police assured them of justice by probing into the incident.
Madhukar’s mother lodged a complaint with police. A case was registered against Srinivas and investigations were taken up.
