Hyderabad anticipates monsoon showers starting Sunday

The city is expected to experience significant rainfall starting Sunday, providing relief to areas that have been dry. According to the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model maps from the Telangana Development Planning Society, rainfall intensity is projected to increase, especially on Sunday and September 29.

Hyderabad: After a short lull, rains are expected to make a comeback in Hyderabad, with weather forecasts predicting increased rainfall activity over the next 48 to 72 hours.

The city is likely to witness significant downpours starting from Sunday, bringing relief to parts of the city that experienced dry conditions.

According to the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model maps on Telangana Development Planning Society, rainfall intensity is set to increase, particularly on Sunday and September 29.

The eastern parts of the city, including areas such as Secunderabad and Alwal, are forecasted to experience heavy showers.

Meanwhile, central and western regions like Serilingampally and Quthbullapur are expected to see lighter rainfall.

Meteorologists have warned that the city’s humidity levels will remain high despite the rain. Maximum daytime temperatures are expected to hover slightly above 30 degrees Celsius.
