Telangana Today, Namaste Telangana join hands with Reflections IAS Academy, host seminar at IIMC

The seminar was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and asking questions.

Hyderabad: Nurture your dreams until they succeed. View the UPSC examination as an opportunity to secure a civil servant position because such a career will be highly impactful as you cane bring about positive change to the society, said K. Shashikanth, Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer from the 2023 batch, currently serving in the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) in Assam.

Delivering an empowering message to youngsters in a seminar on Civil Services at the Indian Institute of Management and Commerce (IIMC), Khairtabad, which was organised by Telangana Today and Namasthe Telangana in collaboration with Reflections IAS Academy on Monday, the IRTS officer pointed out that 90 percent of UPSC successful candidates come from middle-class backgrounds.

Shashikanth noted that while a large number of students from prestigious institutions like IITs are achieving a lot of success in cracking the UPSC exams, candidates with regular degree programs are also equally capable of succeeding.

The seminar was highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions and asking questions. In response to a query from Manohar, a final-year student, Shashikanth advised “Do not change your opinion at any cost for others’ sake,” urging students to stay true to their beliefs while chasing their aspirations.

Sriramana Muppalla, Founder and Director of Reflections IAS Academy, further elaborated on the importance of the civil services exam. This comprehensive knowledge, he said, not only enhances their chances of success in the UPSC but also opens up opportunities in other state and national public service commission exams.

K.Raghuveer, Principal of IIMC College, welcomed the gathering and encouraged students to actively participate in seminars like these. He recalled one of the college’s alumni, Dr. K. Shashanka, who now serves as the Collector of Ranga Reddy District, highlighting the success of former students in the civil services. He also expressed his gratitude to Telangana Publications for organizing this insightful seminar.
