A total of 160 cadets of the Secunderabad Group have participated in the activity.
Hyderabad: The cadets, drawn from various Battalions of Secunderabad Group NCC, have participated in a Parasailing camp which is culminated on Thursday. The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Army Adventure Wing Parasailing Node of the Army Ordnance Corps Centre, Secunderabad.
Cadets were taught from basics of parachute sailing such as paddling until reaching the required height for the leap, emergency landings during unfavourable wind direction. They were also trained in wearing the harness, helmet, knee guard, and elbow guard properly to technicalities such as differentiating various types of ropes used in parachute, pulling the break rope on their own under emergency landings.
The training culminated in exhilarating parasail launches. A total of 160 cadets of the Secunderabad Group have participated in the activity.
Colonel Sanjay Sayal, Group Commander, NCC Group Secunderabad expressed pride at the triumph of the cadets and shared that the Parasailing activity aims to instill a sense of adventurous spirit in the cadets and help them to realize their potential, true to the spirit of NCC.
