Mancherial: A realtor, who was booked on charges of murdering a lawyer couple from Manthani three years ago, was arrested on the charges of occupying a piece of land and attempting to murder a man here on Monday. A sword was seized from his possession.
Mancherial Inspector R Bansilal said that Kunta Srinivas, a realtor from Gunjapadugu village in Manthani mandal in Peddapalli district and one of the accused persons in the sensational murder of the lawyer couple, was apprehended for encroaching upon a plot of 2,000 sq yards belonging to P Sudhakar Reddy, K Sattaiah and S Sampth in Hamaliwada of the town.
On being interrogated, Srinivas confessed to committing the crime following the value of the land going up. He admitted to demolishing the compound wall of the plot with an intention to occupy it and to threatening to kill Sudhakar Reddy with the sword on October 10. He revealed that he purchased a piece of land near the plot in 2013.
Police said that Srinvias was involved in 5 crimes so far.
