KTR calls suspension of AEOs outrageous, demands govt to revoke decision

BRS leader urges the State government to engage in discussions with government employees to resolve their issues

Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao condemned the suspension of 165 Agricultural Extension Officers (AEOs) and 20 constables, calling it outrageous and unjust. He demanded the immediate reinstatement of the suspended employees and urged the State government to engage in discussions with government employees to resolve their issues.

Rama Rao criticised the Congress government for suspensions of employees and denying them rights to raise their concerns. “Even government employees are being forced onto the streets, along with common people, to get their issues resolved,” he said, highlighting the growing discontent among State government employees.

The BRS working president attacked the Congress regime for removing existing jobs rather than providing new ones. He said while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi promised two lakh jobs per annum, the Revanth Reddy government was removing employees and taking away the existing jobs. He contrasted the Congress administration’s failures with the BRS’ long-standing commitment to employee welfare. “BRS has always stood for the welfare of government employees,” he asserted.

On his way to Adilabad on Thursday, Rama Rao interacted with the families of police constables who were staging protests before the 7th battalion headquarters in Dichpally. He listened to their woes and spoke to the police officials concerned, urging them to resolve the grievances of the families at the earliest. He also assured the families of police constables that if the government does not address their problems, the BRS would join the protests and fight on their behalf.

In another post on X, Rama Rao slammed the Congress government over it’s repeated failure to provide Rythu Bharosa investment support and procure crops from farmers. He demanded to know what the Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues were doing, when farmers are struggling to get their crop sold. “Are the Chief Minister and Ministers are too busy with their Delhi tours and foreign trips that they have no time for farmers and their woes?” he questioned.
