Woman from MP dies after eating food at hotel in Nirmal; nine others hospitalised

Nirmal: One of the ten persons who fell ill after eating food at a hotel in Nirmal town, died while undergoing treatment in Boath on Tuesday.
Nirmal police said that Phul Kali Baiga (19) from Madhya Pradesh and a cook of a private school at Pochera village in Boath mandal died while being treated at a government hospital in the morning.
She was one of the ten persons who had diarrhea and vomiting after they had food at Gril Nine hotel of the town on Sunday.
It was learnt that the cook along with staffers of the school had chicken curry and rice at the hotel after shopping for garments in Nirmal. One of them was hospitalized on Sunday.
Doctors said that the cause of illness was food poisoning. The remaining were admitted to the hospital on Monday. Their medical condition was said to be stable.
Smitha, principal of the school, lodged a complaint with police. A case was registered against the hotel. Investigations were taken up.
