Hyderabad: A major fire broke at Kamson Healthcare’s diaper manufacturing factory at Nandigama in Rangareddy district on Wednesday early hours.
No casualties were reported and the cost of the damaged property is yet to be estimated. A short circuit is suspected to be the reason.
As per available information, the fire which erupted around 1 am swiftly spread to the whole unit, reportedly damaging huge raw materials used to make diapers.
On receiving information, fire department personnel from nearby fire stations rushed to the spot and doused the flames after fighting for several hours. The fire completely destroyed the property at the manufacturing unit.
It is learned that the cost of the damaged property is said to be around Rs 20 crore. However, the police are yet to ascertain it. The Nandigama police are investigating.
