8407 trainee constables to passout of training institutes in Telangana

Hyderabad: A total of 8,047 stipendiary trainee constables of civil, armed reserved, special armed reserve city police lines, information technology and communication, and police transport organization completed their nine months training and will pass out of the training institutes in next two days.
Abhilasha Bisht, Director General and Director, RBVRR Telangana Police Academy, said the nine months training began in February this year at 19 training institutes across the State. Among the 8,047 cadets, there are 2338 women candidates.
“The current batch reflects the Telangana police department’s commitment to fostering a gender diverse and inclusive police force,” said Abhilasha Bisht.
The official explained that the 2023-24 batch, the current batch, was trained in both traditional and modern law enforcement techniques. “Special emphasis has been placed on cyber-crime, narcotics, NDPS Act etc. The cadets received specialized training in stress management, self-defence, and community relations,” she said.
The trainees have a diverse educational background with 5470 graduates and 1361 post graduates. Among the total, 1755 have technical background, 5505 non-technical background and 15 hold LLB degree.
