Party demands government to extend an assistance of Rs 15,000 per acre to farmers for the Yasangi and Vanakalam seasons
Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Thursday served an adjournment motion in the Assembly seeking a discussion on farmers’ issues, especially input subsidy, crop loan waiver and other issues.
Former Minister T Harish Rao along with other BRS MLAs, served the adjournment motion stating that the farming community was facing several hardships due to lack of input subsidy, failure in effective implementation of the crop loan waiver and lack of bonus for all crops.
They demanded that the government should extend an assistance of Rs 15,000 per acre to farmers for the Yasangi and Vanakalam seasons and bonus for all crops. They also insisted on a discussion on these issues.
