Hyderabad: Two people including a woman are suspected to have been murdered at Narsingi on the city outskirts on Monday.
The incident came to light on Tuesday morning, when a group of youngsters went to the Ananta Padmanabhaswamy temple hillocks noticed the bodies lying a few metres from each other.
Based on information, the Narsingi police reached the spot and started an investigation. The police on examination of the bodies noticed that the miscreants might had stabbed the man to death while the woman was murdered in a similar manner. The woman’s body was naked.
Ch Srinivas, DCP Rajendranagar, said the miscreants stabbed the man and also smashed his head with a boulder. “With available technical and physical investigation, we are working out the details. We suspect the man, and the woman reached the spot together and were killed by some persons,” the DCP said.
The miscreants also doused the faces of the couple with fuel and set them ablaze to prevent their identification. The police summoned a tracker dog to assist them in tracing the assailants.
