HYDERABAD: Even as the BC communities are up in arms against the Congress government over non-implementation of the promised 42 per cent reservation in elected bodies, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud exuded confidence that some day, a BC leader from the party would become the chief minister of the State.
At present, all the politics were centred around the BCs. In the next Cabinet expansion, BCs would be given priority. A Revanth Reddy would continue to be the Chief Minister this term, he said here on Monday.
Speaking to media persons at Gandhi Bhavan, the TPCC president alleged that BJP and BRS were not committed towards BC welfare and development. The Congress government would ensure legal sanctity for 42 per cent reservation to BCs, he said.
“Our government will introduce the BC Reservation Bill and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay should get the Ninth Schedule amended and prove BJP’s commitment,” he challenged.
