Sangareddy: A woman Sub Inspector suffered injuries after an allegedly drunk man in a car hit her while she was conducting a drunk-driving check in Jinnaram mandal headquarters in the early hours of Tuesday.
SI Nagalakshmi and her team had taken up regular checks at Jinnaram when they tried to stop an Audi car. However, the car driver lost control and hit the SI.
The other police personnel chased down the car and caught the driver. The police shifted the injured Nagalakshmi to a local hospital. The accused was taken into custody.
