District Collector Koya Sree Harsha suspends anaesthetist at Manthani CHC for allegedly demanding a bribe from a patient, action follows complaint by a resident and multiple prior allegations received against the same doctor
Peddapalli: District Collector Koya Sree Harsha on Wednesday suspended Mohan Rao, an anaesthetist at the Community Health Centre in Manthani, for allegedly demanding a bribe from a patient.
Mohan Rao had reportedly demanded Rs 5,000 from Kodali Baghya, a resident of Rachapalli, to perform a tubectomy procedure.
The patient lodged a complaint with hospital authorities.
In view of multiple complaints previously received against Rao, the Collector ordered his suspension.
