Sangareddy: A 22-year-old migrant worker from Uttar Pradesh died after being crushed in an iron cutting machine at a workshop in the RC Puram industrial area on Sunday.
The victim, identified as Raju, was operating the machine at the Venkataramana Workshop when he accidentally slipped and fell into it during the early hours of the day.
Fellow workers made efforts for nearly an hour to retrieve the body from the machine. Police arrived at the spot and shifted the body to the government hospital in Patancheru for postmortem examination.
Meanwhile, the victim’s family members arrived at the workshop and demanded justice. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
