Hyderabad: A woman died after being run over by an earthmover at a garbage dumping point in Narayanguda on Saturday morning.
According to the police, Renuka (55), who stayed at Narayanguda along with her husband, was addicted to alcohol. On Friday night, she had reportedly consumed liquor and slept at a spot near the garbage dumping point.
“A JCB driver, who was clearing the garbage from the spot, did not notice the woman and ran the JCB over her. She suffered a head injury and died on the spot,” Narayanguda Sub-Inspector Ch Nagaraju said.
The police shifted the body to the mortuary for a postmortem examination. A case has been registered.
