The victim, identified as Syed, against whom a rowdy sheet was active in Allapur police station was the son of Wahed Pahelwan and a resident of Borabanda
Hyderabad: A ‘drunken brawl’ between three friends over an unknown matter led to the murder of one of them in Kukatpally on Sunday night.
Syed from Borabanda attended a birthday party with friends on Sunday night. While returning home, he drank alcohol with two of them — Sajid and Munna — at a construction site in Vivekananda Nagar Colony. In this process, a fight broke out among them on an unknown issue around 11.30 pm.
A police investigation revealed that Syed, who was provoked by this, first tried to attack his two friends. When he tried to attack them, the suspects in turn attacked Syed with beer bottles.
It is suspected that they slit Syed’s throat with a beer bottle and hit his head with a rock.
The Kukatpally police reached the spot and have taken up an investigation.
Syed was the son of Wahed Pahelwan of Borabanda. He was also an accused in a murder case registered at the Allapur police station.
Efforts are on to nab the suspects.
