Hyderabad: A woman, who attempted suicide by jumping into the Hussain Sagar, was rescued on Friday.
The 40-year-old jumped into the lake from the front side.
However, motorists and visitors saw her jumping and immediately informed the police. But, before the police could arrive, a man who could swim jumped into the lake and brought her ashore safely.
On inquiry, it was learnt that the woman was upset over family issues and came to the lake to end her life.
She was counselled by the Lake Police, who later handed her over to her family members.
