Sangareddy: A massive fire broke out at Enviro Waste Management Services located in Pashamylaram industrial area on Sunday morning.
Five people, who were unloading some waste from a lorry parked inside the industry, escaped unhurt as they fled from the industry.
Five fire tenders from various parts of the district were rushed to the spot. Dozens of fire department personnel doused the fire after a five-hour-plus effort. No casualties were reported in the incident. The staff suspected that a short circuit could have resulted in the fire mishap.
The loss due to the fire accident has not yet been ascertained. Since the waste management company is located amidst pharmaceutical companies, the fire department took all efforts to contain the blaze.
Enviro Waste Management Services gets waste from pharmaceutical industries and other industries, which it sells to cement industries after processing.
