Nirmal: Seven people were arrested for their alleged involvement in banned gambling at a rented house in Adelli village of Sarangapur mandal on Wednesday.
Police seized Rs 38,340 in liquid cash and seven mobile phones from them.
Sarangapur Sub-Inspector Srikanth said Guthpa Gangadhar, Chitti Sailu, Gutpa Raghu, Chitti Krishnaiah, Limbadri Subhash, Pallela Anjaiah, and Chitti Pandari were apprehended while committing the offence, following a tipoff.
A case was registered and an investigation taken up.
