Hyderabad: Woman pedestrian mowed down by car while crossing road at Pragathi Nagar

A 43-year-old woman from Medak district was killed in a road accident at Pragathi Nagar, Hyderabad, while on her way to celebrate Bonalu. She was first hit by a motorcycle and then run over by a speeding car. Police are investigating

Hyderabad: A woman pedestrian was mowed down by a rashly driven car at Pragathi Nagar in Nizampet on Friday afternoon.

The victim, identified as Renuka (43), a resident of Ramayampet in Medak district, was on her way to her daughter’s house to celebrate Bonalu when the mishap occurred.

According to preliminary information, Renuka was crossing the busy road near VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology when she was first hit by a motorcycle and then run over by a speeding car.

She suffered multiple grievous injuries and died on the spot.

The Bachupally police have registered a case and are investigating.
