The Jeedimetla police have registered two cases in connection with the incident and Anjaiah was taken into custody.
Hyderabad: Panic prevailed for a while in Jeedimetla on Monday night after a man damaged and set several vehicles on fire.
The man, identified as Anjaiah Goud (45), a resident of Markhandaya Nagar in Jeedimetla, returned to the colony after consuming liquor. He damaged four motorcycles and two cars by throwing large stones on the vehicles. He also set a couple of vehicles on fire.
Upon noticing the fire, the local residents alerted the fire department. A fire tender rushed to the spot and extinguished the flames.
