Adilabad: Farmers in parts of Adilabad district have raised concerns over increasing crop damage caused by wild boars.
Growers from Narnoor and Gadiguda mandals said wild boars have been destroying standing crops, including cotton, red gram, green gram, maize, soya, and paddy, leading to mounting losses. Despite staying awake through the night and keeping watch during the day, they said they were unable to protect their fields.
The farmers said the menace had become unmanageable, and they were at a loss over how to safeguard their crops. They urged Forest Department officials to deploy a professional shooter to eliminate the boars and bring them relief.
