Hyderabad: The Jagathgirigutta police on Wednesday arrested four persons who had allegedly murdered a man in broad daylight a day earlier over a financial dispute.
The arrested were identified as Syed Fazil, Syed Jahangir, Shaik Kareem and Shaik Ameer.
Fazil, a native of Gulbarga who currently resides in Jagathgirigutta, was involved in the scrap business and the illegal trade of public distribution system (PDS) rice, along with the victim Mohd Mahboob (40).
“Mahboob owed Rs. 11 lakh to Fazil, and whenever Fazil demanded repayment, Mahboob threatened him. Infuriated, Fazil conspired with three others and killed Mahboob by repeatedly stabbing him with a knife on Tuesday,” said Balanagar ACP P Naresh Reddy.
Mahboob, a rowdy-sheeter under the Musheerabad police station limits and a native of Gulbarga in Karnataka, was involved in 13 cases, including a murder.
“Four teams were formed to nab the assailants. The search parties apprehended the four suspects,” the ACP added.
