Hyderabad’s GHMC Food Safety wing inspected 18 vegetable and fruit markets during a weekly drive, engaging 455 vendors. Officials highlighted hygiene practices, grading standards, FSSAI registration, and proper waste disposal to ensure safer food supply in the city.
Hyderabad: As part of weekly special drive, the officials of Food Safety wing inspected the Kushaiguda vegetable market, Saroornagar Rythu Bazar, Vanasthalipuram vegetable and fruit market, Madannapet Mandi, Mir Alam Mandi, Owaisi vegetable market, Mozamjahi Market, Monda Market, Sanathnagar vegetable market, Khairatabad vegetable market, Mehdipatnam rythu bazaar, Lingampally Market, Patancheru Agricultural market, JNTU Rythu Bazar, Shapur Nagar fruit market, Bollarum market, Malkajgiri fruit bazaar, and vegetable market, Mettuguda.
During the inspections, the Food Safety Officers have interacted with 455 vegetable and fruit vendors and sensitised them on the aspects of basic hygiene practices, importance of FSSAI registration, grading of vegetables and fruits and for disposal of the wastage in proper way, according to an official release.
