In KPHB, Hyderabad, a woman allegedly killed her husband by slitting his throat and later attempted suicide due to financial problems. Locals intervened and rushed her to hospital. Her condition remains critical, and police are investigating the case.
Hyderabad: A woman allegedly killed her husband by slitting his throat with a knife and later attempted suicide at KPHB on Friday night.
The woman, Ramya Krishna, stayed with her husband Ramakrishna at KPHB Colony. On Friday night, the couple reportedly decided to end their lives as they were facing financial problems.
According to reports, Ramya took a knife and slit Ramakrishna’s throat. He died within a few minutes. She then used the knife to slit her own throat. However, locals came to know about the incident and rushed into the house.
On noticing the woman lying unconscious, they shifted her to hospital for treatment. Her condition remains critical. During investigation, police found that the couple had taken loans from different sources and were unable to repay them. Hence, they are suspected to have planned to end their lives.
Police could not question the woman as she is still hospitalised and not in a position to interact with anyone.
