Hyderabad: A day after her suspension from BRS for indulging in anti-party activities, MLC K Kavitha has quit the party and also the legislative post with effect from Wednesday.
Kavitha sent the resignation to the Legislative Council Chairman in the prescribed format, with a single sentence reading, “I hereby tender my resignation of my seat in the House with effect from 03-09-2025.”
She also tendered her resign from the BRS primary membership in a letter addressed to the party chief K Chandrashekhar Rao, urging him to accept her resignation.
Kavitha was elected to the Council from Nizamabad Local Authorities Constituency in October 2020 and her term will expire next year. Earlier, she served as a Member of Parliament from Nizamabad Lok Sabha Constituency from 2014 to 2019.
